In 1999, one month after the tragic Columbine High School shooting, John McCain voted twice against closing the gun show loophole.  He even voted to table an amendment extending the assault weapons ban.  A year and a half later, John McCain cut an ad supporting the Colorado ballot initiative to close the gun show loophole.  That's right -- McCain didn't just reverse himself -- he felt so strongly about the issue that he cut an ad.

So when John McCain accuses Barack Obama of flip-flopping on gun control, he ought to look in the mirror.
